How to Connect a Computer to a Modem

 Electrical and Fire Safety

- Please inform staff if you notice any faulty items so we can replace them.

- Please keep water and other liquids away from electrical equipment.

- Do not overload the circuits or power points/ power boards.

- Please use the equipment correctly. 

Manual Handling

- Push a trolley rather than pulling it to put less strain on your body.

-Recognise the area, to limit the amount of bending, twisting and stretching.

Ergonomic Working Arrangements

- Have your workstation set up so that it is safe and easy to operate.

- Organise your workspace so everything is comfortable which will help maintain good posture.

Acceptable Usage of Computers

 To use a computer, you need to:

• Use your library card and PIN to access the computers.

• Computers can be borrowed for 30 minutes to an hour.

• You can reserve a computer for up to one week in advance in the library or online.

• If you don't wish to join the library, you are able to purchase a Guest Pass for $2 on presentation of ID, which allows for 2 hours per day

• Printing is available at each library for 20c per A4 black and white and 40c per A4 colour. Scanning is available free of charge at each library.
